Top questions

Does my data leave the device?

By default, processing stays on-device (Apple Intelligence / Vision). If you enable cloud extraction, files go over TLS to our proxy then to GPT‑5 Nano and are discarded after processing.

How do I disable cloud processing?

Use the in-app toggle for “Cloud extraction”. Turning it off keeps processing on-device only.

Which file types work best?

Images (JPG/PNG/HEIC) and PDFs. For multi-page PDFs, we preserve headings, tables, and lists in the output where possible.

How do I report a privacy issue?

Email privacy@aicapture.app with details. We prioritize data requests and removal.

Troubleshooting

Text looks incomplete: Try enabling cloud extraction temporarily for complex layouts, or rescan with better lighting.
Permission errors: Re-enable Camera/Photos access in iOS Settings → ChattyDOC.
Network issues: Ensure connectivity or stay on-device by disabling cloud extraction.
Performance: Close other heavy apps, or try a smaller scan to reduce memory usage.
